My skin has gone through lots of ups and downs over the years and I've gotten a pretty good skin routine down that fulfills all the needs of my skin. Everybody's skin has different needs and the brands I'm sharing with you today have many products that can accompany any type of skin, whether it's too oily, too dry, etc. I'm really happy with this list and I hope you all find some new products to try and maybe even add to your daily/nightly/weekly routine!
The Organic Skin Co.
About The Company
The Organic Skin Co. is a brand that provides natural, healthy skincare products and also gives back to Earth. All of their products are free of all the nasty toxins and are all vegan, cruelty free, and certified as made with organics! The one thing that also sets them apart from many other skincare brands is how they give back to the environment. The Organic Skin Co partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects to help plant more trees; Organic Skin Co plants one tree for every "The Organic Skin Co." product that is purchased. The company sells skincare products but also sells a variety of beauty/makeup products as well!
Products I've Tried:
Hydration Agent • Vanilla and Amaranth Moisturizer: The rosehip oil in the moisturizer is full of Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) which have regenerative, moisturizing, protective, anti-aging properties. The base of the skin cream is Shea Butter which is great for many aspects of your skin such as promoting elasticity, protection against environmental pollutants and helps with any skin irritations or dryness.
Cost: $41.00
Clean Slate • Holy Basil Cleanser: This cleanser is packed with antibacterial properties since it has so many essential oils and lots of vitamin C and many other antioxidants. The special addition of lemon peel essential oil is great for the cleansing of impurities in the skin and helping revitalize the skin. I swear by this cleanser, I use it everyday!
Cost: $25.00
Task Force Nine • Calendula and Turmeric Cream: This is a multi-tasking treatment cream to use if your skin needs some extra TLC since it has 9 active natural ingredients (aloe vera, jojoba oil, lemon peel oil, calendula, turmeric, rosemary, honeysuckle, vanilla, and seabuckthorn). These ingredients all have moisturizing, antiseptic and antibacterial properties and the turmeric is anti-inflammatory which helps fight against blemishes and minimize skin irritation.

The Good Oil • Honeysuckle and Turmeric Face Oil: The Organic Skin Co is famous for this oil; it does amazing things for your skin! It has some awesome organic oils in it that give your skin that extra boost; jojoba, apricot, sunflower and honeysuckle! Natura Culina
About The Company
Natura Culina meaning "Natures Kitchen" is a skincare company that is known for it's natural ingredients in all of their products. This is what originally drew me to the brand. Natura Culina uses a combination of rich skin-healing vitamins and age-defying antioxidants found in plants which allows for the elimination of toxic and artificial ingredients on your skin. Something unique about this brand is they offer a special Cayenne Aid product that is an anti-inflammatory and treats specific types of pain such as headaches, menstrual cramps and sore muscles; we'll talk more about this unique product below!
Products I've Tried:
Rose Face Mist: This refreshing face mist is a perfect toner and whenever my skin feels irritated or extra sensitive, I spray some of this stuff on to soothe and hydrate my skin. Rosewater is naturally an antioxidant and has various vitamins that have many anti-aging properties. Plus, it smells amazing so you can even add a couple sprays into your bath or shower too!
Costs: $14.00
Rose' Berry Antioxidant Face Mask: Using this mask is like giving your face a big hug! It is filled with antioxidants which means it's an anti-aging and hydration mask which every skin time can appreciate! You can also add in a face mask smoothing brush for $5.00 which allows for a smooth application of the mask if you want to be bougie! I use this mask once a week and leave it on for 20 minutes then massage it more deeply into my skin while I rinse it out! After I use the mask I use my rosewater mist and rose face oil to finish off my skin for the night.
Cost: $16.00 (1oz)
Rose Face Oil: This oil is an amazing blend of beneficial face properties such as Rosehip Seed Oil, Calendula Flower Oil, Rose Essential Oil, and Vitamin E. This is the perfect oil to follow a weekly face mask and is an anti-inflammatory that helps reduce skin irritation/redness and slows the aging process.
Cost: $14.00 (0.25oz - Travel Size)
Chamomile Face Oil: The biggest reason I choose to use these small skincare companies is because they are all natural and have actual standards for what is in their products. There is none of those toxic ingredients in this oil, there is natural Jojoba Oil, Calendula Flower Oil, Chamomile Essential Oil and Vitamin E. All of these ingredients create a blend that has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that help reduce irritation (even irritation caused by common skin disorders such as eczema).
Cost: $14.00 (0.25oz - Travel Size)
Cayenne Aid: This oil blend has been a life-changer for me. It's a topical anti-inflammatory aid oil that is highly effective in the treatment of migraines, headaches, tendinitis, muscle soreness, joint pain, bruising and neck tension. I specifically use the oil on my temples for relief from my migraines, or I'll use it to help my period cramps and it will even help my nerve pain I sometimes get through my lower back.
Cost: $14 (1oz)
Ziri Skincare
About The Company
Ziri means "moonlight" in the Moroccan Amazigh language spoken by the Berbers of Morocco and for centuries, the moon has formed an important part of beauty rituals; during a full moon the Moroccans say our skin and hair are more absorbent, making it the perfect time for rejuvenation and recovery. The company sources all of it's ingredients from local Moroccan ingredients such as rich argan oil and rose water. They combine natural ingredients and ancient Moroccan practises to create a modern skincare regimen for their consumers.
Products I've Tried:
Moroccan Red Clay Mask: This is my go-to mask when my face feels extra oily! The mask unclogs pores, restores skin elasticity and impacts your overall appearance and health of your skin. It also gets rid of all the dead skin cells that have accumulated on the top layer of your skin throughout the day/week. The clay is very thick so it will last you a long time if you're using it weekly in your skin routine!
Cost: $35.00
Organic Argon Oil: This oil is the best because it can be used on your skin or in your hair! I personally have used argon oil for my hair for a while now and it is so good for reducing hair breakage and promotes hair growth. It's also a great moisturizer for skin too; I use it when my skin needs a heavy replenishment overnight and it works wonders!
Cost: $30.00
Rose Water: This spray is perfect if your skin needs a lighter moisture since it's rich in Vitamin B, E, C and tannins. The smell of the mist instantly puts you in a relaxing, good mood! The mist is 100% pure Moroccan rose water distilled from the Rosa Damascena rose petals and contains no toxic ingredients at all! It's the perfect product to add to your summer day morning skincare routine!
Cost: $30.00
Moroccan Black Soap with Lemon: This shower scrub is great to use with the exfoliating mitt/glove ($10) that helps remove toxins and clear your skin! I love keeping this soap in the fridge before I take a shower so when I use it, it's even more refreshing!
Cost: $30.00
Natural Lip Balm: This all natural lip balm is made with argon oil (shocker!) and soothes your lips instantly. It's the perfect lip balm to keep in your purse in case of chapped-lip emergencies!
Cost: $4.00
Kinder Beauty Box
About The Company
This subscription box is one of the best ones I've seen on the market right now. In the box I got, the prices added up for each product individually added up to $77, but you only pay $25 to buy a single box and the boxes become even cheaper if you subscribe for a couple months in advance! In your box you are guaranteed to get at least 2 full sized products and the products they use in their boxes are all clean, vegan, cruelty free and many more very strict standards for the products they use, which I think is super important. A subscription box is awesome because you discover new brands and their products that you might have not normally tried and you find new ones to fall in love with, so if you're thinking of trying it out, I'd recommend this one for beauty/skincare/accessories!
Products in the Box:
Willing Beauty • DO OVER Nourishing Cleanser: My skin is particularly sensitive, so I struggle trying new daily cleansers but I had no issues with this one! So if you have sensitive skin and looking to change up your skincare routine, I'd recommend giving this one a try! The cleanser does a great job getting the rest of your leftover makeup off and any dead skills but also hydrates and strengthens the skin. It's very gentle on the face, which I love and I've actually kept this cleanser a part of my daily routine now.
Retail Value: $18.00
ESW Beauty • Green Reset Anti-Aging Mask: I had never tried a raw juice mask before getting it in this box, and I'm so glad I did! The mask I specifically got was packed with kale, spinach, broccoli, and apple extracts which is supposed to help give your skin a nice reset. I used this mask after my trip to Kelowna where I was swimming in the lake and getting a lot of sun, so I personally loved this mask and my ideal way to use it would be after a vacay or if your skin needs an overall reset in general.
Retail Value: $6.00
Medusa's Makeup • Eye Dust (Penny Wise):
I personally don't wear a ton of makeup to begin with, but this small sized eyeshadow is a nice nude-pinky colour which ties my usual natural makeup look together, especially wearing a nude matte lipstick. The eyeshadow stayed on remarkably well throughout the day and you only need a small amount per use, so it'll definitely last me a while!
Retail Value: $8.00
Glaminizers • Dew & Renew Mist: This finishing spray isn't just like any normal one from the drug store, this one is infused with rosewater that boosts moisture and arrowroot which allows for a silky finished look. As I mentioned earlier, I don't wear heavy makeup so I was nervous at first not knowing if I would even use the makeup products in the box, but this mist can be used to finish even the most simplest makeup looks!
Retail Value: $24.00
Opagee • Rosehip Beauty Oil Blend: This beauty oil is the product you need that rejuvenates and hydrates your skin and the rosehip contains anti-aging properties as well; so this product has a wealth of beneficial skin effects! I apply about 2 or 3 drops into my skin and use my jade roller to massage it into my skin.
Retail Value: $21.00
East 29th
About The Company
This company was pretty new to me, but their face oil is one of a kind! They believe in the clean beauty movement so their products are also all-natural and all ingredients are ethically sourced as well. Their mission is to make sure that skincare goes hand in hand with self-care and to keep the conversation going about conscious skincare. They are also very passionate at spreading mental health awareness and make sure their products produce a mindful and relaxing experience. This company is based out of Vancouver, which is my hometown and I couldn't be more excited to share a local company like this one from a city I lived in for so long!
Products I've Tried:
Vital Serum: I use this serum directly after I cleanse my face in the morning and at night. Even though this serum looks like an ordinary face oil, it actually foams up when you put it on allowing you to rub it deep into your skin. All of the ingredients are natural, fragrance free, cruelty free, and non-GMO. Since the concentration of these natural ingredients are so high in this oil, it helps promote skin elasticity, smoothing wrinkles, and it promotes hydration if you have naturally dry skin like I do!
Cost: $88.00
These products were used as a collaboration, but my opinions are always my own
